AK Royal Tresses is more than a hair company—it’s personal. The AK comes from Abu and KooKie, Vickee’s beloved pit bulls. Knowing they cannot physically be with her forever, she created something meaningful that could carry a piece of them forward. Their names became part of a brand rooted in love, loyalty and legacy.
And the Royal? That comes from Vickee. 👑 A lifelong love of hair—especially a beautiful 613 that can stay blonde or become almost any color—made the rest simply make sense.
Originally from Montgomery, Alabama and now residing in Florida, Vickee earned a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University, a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University, and a Master’s in Law from Florida State University.
